Abstraction has the power to indicate, to touch on, to
suggest
the essence of existance. The direction of
abstraction in my
paintings is symbolic and conceptual
and touches the area of
chaos theory and fractal imagery.
The power and diversity of nature, the sensitivity of chaotic
dynamical systems, the cosmos or universe considered as
an
ordered system, the charge of internal human-energy
expressed
and linked through an invented visual language
and personal
imagery indicates the philosophical and
conceptual intentions
of my work.
My concern is a linking of inner reality with the underlying
reality
of the world or of nature in a metaphysical sense
suggesting the
changing nature of emotional life and the
critical spirit of creativeness.
